New York. Last week my mom and I traveled to New York for my spring break. We had a bunch of doctor visits to do but managed to enjoy our time in the city. I would call this trip the eating tour of New York. We went to Sarabeths, Jane, Cafe Lalo, Millesime, Eatery, David Burke at Bloomingdales and a new restaurant DeeDa.

And for your viewing pleasure, here are all of the amazing meals we had!

my camera. It is wonderful and takes the most glorious photos.

Harry Potter. On New Years Eve, Amanda, Eric, Steve and I went to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios to celebrate! It was such a fun day. We managed to go on pretty much every ride we wanted too, we got Steve on the Hulk even though he was scared and we watched fireworks at midnight. 🙂 Best of all, we went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the newest attraction in IOA. It was great to see Hogsmeade and Hogwarts, to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (WHICH WAS FREAKING AWESOME) and to have a chocolate cauldron. I can’t wait to go back and do it all over again!!! I also got to use my new camera which was amazing as always. I don’t know what life was like before this camera.

Crafting. Today I found inspiration by clicking my way through the internet. My inspiration comes from all over, but I definitely have a thing for simplicity and color. And that is exactly what you get with this craft. I found this AMAZING INCREDIBLE WONDERFUL CRAFTY blog today and I cannot get enough of it. It is SO inspiring and it has now become a staple on my top sites, Alisa Burke 🙂

What I love about this craft is that you can do whatever color combination you want and use different ribbon as the actual headband. I just used what I had around the house because I wanted to try out the craft as soon as I could. Its simple but elegant and all you need is scissors, ribbon of your choice, needle, thread and a hot glue gun.
